Subject:                          This is how to Volunteer in a War

As we draw close to the culmination of the third week in the Iron Swords War, it's impossible to ignore the profound sorrow and agony that has gripped us. These weeks have tested our strength and resilience in ways we never thought possible. However, in the midst of this darkness, a ray of hope has shone brightly, and that light comes from none other than you, our cherished volunteers. Your unwavering dedication and selfless commitment have been a source of solace and support, casting a much-needed glimmer of hope in these trying times. Your presence and efforts have made a profound difference, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

In the upcoming weeks, we will be opening our doors to foreign volunteers, welcoming you to join us at Sar-El for a unique volunteering experience. If you choose to sign up during these times, there are several important considerations to keep in mind.
1. Please be aware that there is a high likelihood that you may not be accommodated on the military base itself, as many bases may not have the capacity to house civilians. In such cases, we will arrange your lodging in a hotel or similar accommodations nearby.
2. Volunteer assignments may take you to bases all across Israel, including those in the southern and northern regions. Specific locations cannot be guaranteed, as assignments are based on the IDF's current needs.
3. We strongly recommend purchasing flexible flight tickets, as circumstances can change rapidly, and we must prioritize your safety above all else.
4. It's important to note that volunteer hours can be longer than the standard, ranging from 8 am to 8 pm, owing to the significant tasks at hand. The work Sar-El is engaged in holds immense importance for the IDF.
These conditions will be in effect until the end of December. If you find these terms unsuitable for your situation, we encourage you to consider postponing your volunteering plans to a later date. Your support and dedication mean a great deal to us, and we look forward to having you as part of our team. The importance of the work being done by Sar-El and its volunteers cannot be overstated. The IDF relies on our support more than ever, and your contributions are making a significant difference. For those who may not be able to volunteer at this time, please consider donating so that others may have the opportunity to continue this vital mission. There is a great deal of work ahead, and every bit of support, whether through volunteering or donations, plays a crucial role in ensuring the continued success of our efforts. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to this Israel.

What we accomplished the week:

Across nine different bases, our collective efforts have yielded remarkable results. We've achieved the assembly of 256,276 boxes of field meals, distributed 17,000 refreshment packs to our brave combat soldiers, skillfully repaired 952 uniforms, assembled 13,130 diverse emergency medical kits, expertly crafted 3,820 ceramic vests, and so much more. These accomplishments showcase the incredible impact that our dedicated volunteers can have, and we are immensely proud of the difference we're making for those who serve in the defense of our nation.

This week marked a truly remarkable moment as we had the privilege of welcoming a distinguished delegation of medical professionals, including world-renowned burn reconstruction surgeons, plastic surgeons, orthopedic specialists, radiation oncologists, general practitioners, and more. These esteemed doctors generously volunteered their expertise to support the emergency efforts of the IDF. Prior to their assignments, they diligently completed a specialized course designed to prepare them for the challenges ahead. We're thrilled to announce that they have been deployed to bases throughout the northern and southern regions of Israel for the upcoming weeks. This marks a significant milestone in Sar-El's history as we embark on this collaborative endeavor. The bravery and commitment demonstrated by these medical professionals are truly awe-inspiring. Their positive feedback regarding the course and their readiness to dive into their work is a testament to their dedication and professionalism. Kol hakavod to this exceptional team for their outstanding contributions.
